🏈 Early Life and Education
David Schuman was a standout high school football player, earning First Team All-American and All-State honors before accepting a full athletic scholarship to play linebacker at the University of Connecticut (UConn) under head coach Skip Holtz.
At UConn, he was a three-year letterman and an Academic All-Conference student-athlete, earning both a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s in Management of Technology

🧠 Early Career and Transition to Coaching
After graduate school, Schuman began his professional career as a strategic business analyst for a technology company before becoming Senior Vice President of an internet strategy and web development firm in New York City during the late-1990s tech boom.
The events of September 11, 2001, in which one of his largest clients, Cantor Fitzgerald, suffered heavy losses, deeply impacted him. The tragedy inspired Schuman to pivot back to football, where his passion truly lay. He became head football coach at Saddle Brook High School (NJ) while also pursuing a second Master’s Degree at Columbia University’s Teachers College

🚀 Founding of NUC Sports
In 2005, Schuman launched Schuman’s National Underclassmen Combine (NUC Sports) — now recognized as the largest football showcase, camp, and combine series in the U.S..
NUC Sports helps high school athletes gain college recruiting exposure, with over 20,000 athletes participating annually and more than 200,000 earning Division I scholarships.
Notable alumni include Tyrod Taylor, Joe Haden, Tajh Boyd, La’el Collins, and Marcus Lattimore

Schuman is the CEO of NUC Sports and the founder of Schuman Enterprises, the parent company for his ventures in sports, media, and athlete representation.
He co-founded Inspired Athletes LLC, a boutique sports agency representing college and professional athletes, and became an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor in 2013
